We live in a world where “spiritual forces of evil” oppose the Kingdom of God. Often, we can even feel a darkness within ourselves, in the interior of our hearts and minds, whether it originates from within or from without. Prayerfully ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you any opposition to God’s move that might be present (fear, unworthiness, unrepented sin, etc.). Write down anything that the Lord reveals to you.

Prayerfully read Ephesians 6:10-18. In this passage, Paul tells us how to “be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might,” putting on “the whole armor of God” and “praying at all times in the Spirit.” Write down some practical ways in which you can turn to the Spirit of God and to the Word of God for refuge and rescue. (You may need to return to this passage during these 10 Days if you sense any opposition to receiving a new, greater move of the Holy Spirit in your life.)

In this episode, Fr. Dave shares about his experience of being “baptized in the Holy Spirit.” He explains that prior to that time in his solidly Christian life, he did not even know the term “baptism in the Holy Spirit.” Yet once he was confronted with that reality by another person, and after he confirmed in Scripture that “baptism in the Holy Spirit” is something Jesus Himself talked about, Fr. Dave opened his heart to receive this gift from the Lord.
Is the possibility of a personal Pentecost experience a new revelation to you? If so, would you write a prayer, asking the Lord to give it to you?
Are you someone whom God wants to use to share about this great grace to others, as Fr. Dave’s friend shared with him? If so, ask the Lord to highlight to you the person(s) He wants you to speak to about a personal experience of Pentecost.
If this prayer plan is drawing you closer to the Lord, please share it with a friend !

Daily Scripture
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places… take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication” (Ephesians 6:11–12, 17–18a).
