Prayerfully read John 16:7:
“Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send Him to you.”
In this verse, Jesus makes an astounding statement: Having the Holy Spirit dwelling within us is better than having Jesus physically walking beside us on earth. What a profound gift and invitation this is!
How deeply do you value the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life? How often do you acknowledge that He is with you and within you? In what specific ways does the Holy Spirit make His power, guidance, and nearness clear to you?
Take a few moments to reflect on the truth in John 16:7 and invite the Holy Spirit to deepen your awareness of His presence in you today.

Francis recalls a powerful line he wrote in Forgotten God: “I don’t want to keep crawling when I have the ability to fly!” This image reminds us how easy it can be to drift into a Christian life that no longer depends on the Holy Spirit and returns to a routine that feels like crawling.
Take a moment to ask the Lord to reveal more deeply who the Holy Spirit is in your life and how much you need Him. Invite God to awaken your heart to a greater dependence on His presence and power and remain open to all that He desires to give you.

Prayerfully read Luke 11:5–13, which concludes with these powerful words:
“If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
In this passage, Jesus invites us to ask for the Holy Spirit. He assures us that the Father delights in giving His Spirit to those who seek Him, ask Him, and continue asking with expectant hearts.
As baptized believers, we know the Holy Spirit already dwells within us. Yet the Father continually desires to awaken us to the fullness of His presence and power in our lives. Because God is infinite, there is always more we can receive from Him.
Take a few quiet moments to pray and ask the Father to fill you afresh with His Holy Spirit. Open your heart to receive more of His presence and His power within you.

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.” - John 16:13-14
